Paper Forms Editorial

Range: Conveyancing - Law Society

Enquiries of Local Authorities

The Law Society has replaced the existing Con 29 (Part 1) and Con 29 (Part 2) forms with two new forms to cater for the introduction of home information packs (HIPs) on 1st June.

Con 29R replaces Con 29 (Part 1) and contains a new enquiry box to ensure compliance with Schedule 7, Part 1 of the Home Information Pack Regulations.

Con 29O replaces Con 29 (Part 2) and contains a new enquiry concerning common land, town and village greens because the current Commons Registration form (CR21) will become obsolete in England (but not Wales) on 1st June as a result of procedural amendments introduced in the Commons Act 2006.

CURRENT VERSIONS OF CON 29 (PART 1) AND CON 29 (PART 2) SHOULD NO LONGER BE USED AFTER 1ST JUNE IN NEW CONVEYANCING TRANSACTIONS. THE NEW EDITIONS OF CON 29R AND CON 29O WILL BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF MAY.
