Amended Probate Forms

In his Budget statement in March, the Chancellor of the Exchequer confirmed an increase in the threshold at which Inheritance Tax becomes payable in respect of deaths occurring on or after 6th April 2008. These provisions will be contained in the Finance Act 2008. 
 
We have updated the PEP Sheet, Probate 1 and Probate 1a to reflect these revised figures. PEP (2008) should be used in conjunction with the Probate forms of oath 4, 5, 8, 9, 11 and 12. 
 
CURRENT FORMS SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR DEATHS WHICH OCCURRED BEFORE 6TH APRIL 2008. AMENDED FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN AUGUST.
