The Tax Credits Act 2002

The Tax Credits Act 2002 will introduce the Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit from 7th April 2003. Child Tax Credit will combine all income support for children and will be paid to the main carer, along with Child Benefit. Working Tax Credit will be paid through an employee’s earnings. 
 
The Court Service has amended the references on EX 160 and its accompanying notes to reflect the introduction of these two new benefits. 
 
The Lord Chancellor’s Department has likewise updated information provided on Criminal Form B to take account of this new Act. However, Oyez will not be reprinting the amended version of this form which will be made available on disk. 
 
NEITHER THE CURRENT VERSIONS OF EX 160 NOR CRIMINAL FORM B SHOULD BE USED AFTER 7TH APRIL. THE AMENDED VERSION OF EX160 AND NOTES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY APRIL.
