New Road Traffic Accident Forms

On 30th April, new rules for processing personal injury claims in road traffic accidents from £ 1,000 to a maximum of £10,000 will come into force. 
 
· RTA1 is the basic claim form to initiate proceedings and RTA2 is the Defendant’s form which is sent to his or her insurer. 
· RTA3 is a Medical Report which must be filed. 
· RTA4 and RTA 5 are used at different stages in proceedings to settle the case before it comes to trial. 
· RTA6 and RTA7 are forms which are submitted to the court just before the case proceeds to trial. 
· N210B is the Acknowledgement of Service of RTA1 which the defendant must return to the court indicating whether or not he or she intends to defend the claim. 
 
 
THESE NEW FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN APRIL BUT SHOULD NOT BE USED BEFORE 30th APRIL.
