Hague Convention on Protection of Children

Some new Rules have amended the Adoption Rules 1984 to take account of the Government’s ratification of the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-Operation in respect of Intercountry Adoption. 
 
Adoption form 6 has been revised to cater for applications made for such adoption orders under the Hague Convention, whilst High Court Form 15A is a new form of application to the High Court, alleging that a convention adoption order which was made should not have been granted for the reasons specified on Form 15A. 
 
THE CURRENT VERSION OF ADOPTION FORM 6 SHOULD NOT BE USED AFTER 31ST MAY. BOTH THE AMENDED VERSION OF ADOPTION 6 AND THE NEW FORM 15A WILL BE AVAILABLE IN JUNE.
