Suspension of Right to Buy
The Court Service has advised us of amendments to the above forms as a result of changes to the right to buy legislation which have been introduced in England by the Housing Act 2004.
Section 192 of the Housing Act 2004 introduced a new power to make an order suspending a tenant's right to buy council property due to the tenant's anti-social behaviour.
EXISTING VERSIONS OF THESE FORMS CAN BE USED UNTIL 1ST OCTOBER FOR CASES WHICH DO NOT CONCERN THE SUSPENSION OF THE RIGHT TO BUY. AMENDED FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN LATE AUGUST OR EARLY SEPTEMBER BUT CURRENT FORMS CANNOT BE USED IN ENGLAND AFTER 1ST OCTOBER.
