Enduring Power of Attorney

Certain Rules have represcribed Con 36E to take account of provisions which will be introduced under the Civil Partnership Act 2004. 
 
In future, the donor of a power may appoint his or her civil partner as an attorney to act on his or her behalf. 
 
CURRENT FORMS CAN BE USED UNTIL 1ST APRIL 2007. THE AMENDED VERSIONS OF CON 36E AND ITS CONTINUATION SHEET WILL BE AVAILABLE IN NOVEMBER BUT CANNOT BE USED BEFORE 5TH DECEMBER. 
 
Separate Rules have also represcribed EP2 to reflect these changes but the current version of EP2 may continue to be used until 1st April 2007 
 
THE AMENDED VERSION OF EP2 WILL ONLY BE PUBLISHED WHEN THE PUBLIC GUARDIANSHIP OFFICE HAS APPROVED EP2 FOR USE WITH ITS MERIS COMPUTER SYSTEM.
