Amended Civil Procedure Form

On OFIS No. 3 in March, we notified you of some amendments to N5B which came into force on 6th April. 
 
Her Majesty’s Courts Service (HMCS) used this opportunity of updating N5B in April to refer to the introduction of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) which was originally scheduled to come into force this October. 
 
Unfortunately, the Government announced a delay in implementing TDS until April 2007. 
 
HMCS has therefore amended the reference to October to refer to April 2007 on form N5B. The Government may make further announcements about TDS later this year.  
 
PRACTITIONERS SHOULD CHECK WITH THEIR LOCAL COURT(S) IF THEY WILL STILL PROCESS CURRENT VERSION OF N5B. THE AMENDED FORM WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER.
