On OFIS No. 8 in September, we advised practitioners that Her Majesty’s Courts Services (HMCS) had amended N5B following a delay to the introduction of the new Tenancy Deposit Scheme. 
 
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme was originally scheduled to be introduced in October, but was postponed until April 2007. 
 
HMCS has subsequently decided to amend the Defendant’s notes for guidance which accompany N5B to assist practitioners completing the form next April. 
 
THE CURRENT VERSION OF N5B MAY CONTINUE TO BE USED BUT THIS AMENDED EDITION OF N5B WILL BE AVAILABLE IN DECEMBER.
